Between 1933 and 1971 Sixteen of
England’s amateur international matches were played at Champion Hill. Dulwich
Hamlet’s very own Cecil Murray and Edgar Kail featured in the first match
versus Scotland in front of an 18,000 crowd.
Other Hamlet players to represent England at their home ground included Haydn Hill, Horace Robbins, Bill Parr, Reg Anderson and Les Brown.
